Sheriff Todd Hall thanks everyone involved in the rescue efforts today resulting from a traffic accident of a man and woman from Atlanta.

Unfortunately, the woman passenger in the single vehicle accident did not survive.  The man was airlifted to UAB.

The many agencies that were represented worked to free the driver and made sure that he was given the best chance of survival.  This was the first time that the Pickens County Rescue Unit has been deployed and the partnership with the volunteer fire Departments made the rescue go smoothly.

Reform Police Department, Reform Fire Department, McShan Fire Department, Pickens County Sheriff's Office, Pickens County Coroner's Office, Pickens County Ambulance Service, Air Evac and Alabama State Troopers gave the driver a chance to survive.

Please pray for the family as they go through this difficult time.
