Sheriff Todd Hall announced that on April 1, 2022 the Pickens County Sheriff's Office along with the Gordo Police Department conducted a traffic stop and arrested Bruce Walker for felony possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

This stop was the first traffic stop of a newly formed partnership of the departments.

Having recently lost the Pickens County Sheriff's Office K-9 handler, Sheriff Todd Hall approached Police Chief Johnny Stevenson, who had recently retired the departments K-9.  The retired K-9 was pressed back into service. Pickens county will benefit from this partnership in many ways. Sheriff Hall is very proud of the partnership and looks forward to great success as we fight the war on drugs.
