Sheriff Todd Hall reports that on February 8, 2022 after receiving information from Mississippi Law Enforcement Investigators, Pickens County Deputies were able to locate a dangerous suspect who was on the run.  Investigators with the Pickens County Sheriff's Office developed information on the location of Kirby Dies.

Deputies went to the address and located suspect Dies hiding in a closet. Suspect Dies was arrested and transported to the Pickens County Jail on local charges of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Giving False Name to Law Enforcement Officer, Probation Revocation, Possession/Use of Drug Paraphernalia and an outstanding bench Warrant.  Dies will be held until he is extradited to Mississippi.

Sheriff Hall thanks the citizens who were willing to get involved and called in information.  It takes everyone working together to keep our County safe.  Sheriff Hall encourages Citizens to call when you see suspicious or criminal activity.
