Pickens County Sheriff's Office Press Release

 

Sheriff Todd Hall reports that on Saturday September 3, 2021 a double homicide occurred in Aliceville. 

In the late afternoon Police Officers from Aliceville, Pickensville, Carrollton, Reform, and Deputies from the The Pickens County Sheriff's Office responded to shots being fired on Franconia Road.

Upon arrival Officers observed that two adult males had been fatally shot outside a residence.  Officers quickly located a suspect and after a short time they were able to take him into custody and he was placed in the Pickens County Jail.

The 24th Judicial District Attorney's Office along with The Pickens County Coroner's Office responded to the Scene.  This is an ongoing investigation and further details will be released at a later date.  The names of the deceased are being withheld until proper notification can be made to the Families involved.
