Pickens County Sheriff's Office Press Release

Sheriff Todd Hall reported today that Pickens County Sheriff's Deputies concluded a week long investigation into a Kidnapping that occurred in the Macedonia Community.

Sheriff Hall reports that on June 11th Deputies from the Pickens County Sheriff's Office received a call from a passing motorist about a woman being beaten by a man in the Macedonia Community off County Road 75.

Deputies arrived and found an abandoned car but could not locate the owner.  Deputies were able to develop leads and a suspect.  This information resulted in warrants being issued for the arrest of Suspect Timothy Prude.  Suspect Prude was located in a motel in Lowndes County, Mississippi and was placed in the Lowndes County jail until he was extradited to Pickens County, Alabama on Monday.

Suspect Prude has been charged with Kidnapping, Assault, Robbery, Domestic Violence and Theft.

The victim in this incident sustained serious injury and is recovering at home.
